Not only the glaciers are affected by climate change, but also the entire Alpine mountain landscape in Switzerland. The consequence of the increased temperatures is the melting of the permafrost. This causes large amounts of rock and debris to move and can develop into a natural hazard that can directly affect us.
The confrontation, by Pedro Rodrigues, to the subject matter takes place on different levels. With the help of various experts, the complexity of these dangers will be presented in multimedia form. Points such as protective measures, monitoring or various demolitions are part of this work. Currently, the focus is on the natural hazard of rockfall.
By means of various staged experiments, the force of this danger is visually presented in its own form.
The long-term project „movement in the alpine landscape“ will be realized in the coming years and will be made accessible to the public in a comprehensive work. Here you can see an intermediate state.
Pedro Rodrigues
Geboren im Jahr 1989 in Portugal, aufgewachsen im Bergdorf Saas-Fee. Die Einflüsse aus Herkunft und Berglandschaften prägen und beeinflussen die Arbeit von Pedro Rodrigues bis heute.
Der eidg. Dipl. Fotodesigner ist seit 2012 freischaffender Fotograf. Für namenhafte Kunden wie Migros, Berner Fachhochschule, Swisslife, Zermatt Tourismus uvm wurden fotografische Arbeiten realisiert. Pedro Rodrigues ist vorwiegend in den Bereichen der Dokumentar-, Reportage- Konzeptueller- sowie Werbefotografie tätig.
In Regelmässigen Abständen werden verschiedene freie Arbeiten umgesetzt und auf verschiedenen Plattformen veröffentlicht oder Ausgestellt.
