Anne-Camille Vaucher

It is an unconventional journey that the photographer from Biel proposes. Through her pictures, staged from existing basic situations, she questions our relationship with animals. Scenes that make us smile and that sometimes disturb those who claim that the place of certain animals is not in a kitchen or a living room. The discovery of the intimacy that binds these animal owners with their animal to the point of sharing everything with them. The elastic border between our world and that of the animals, the importance of animals in the eyes of certain people. The "humanization" of the animal by love, vanity, need to possess? Questions that the audience is free to interpret according to their point of view. The only thing that is certain is that all the animals photographed in this project were in absolute confidence with their owners.

For this still ongoing project, the photographer is always looking for new subjects to photograph. Anyone who knows someone who shares their home regularly or even just occasionally with one or more extraordinary animals, in Switzerland or abroad, is encouraged to contact her: info@anne-camille-vaucher.ch
